Task management Open

The open-source, self-hostable to-do app. Organize everything, on all platforms.

Vikunja is an open-source, self-hostable to-do app that lets you organize everything, on all platforms. And yes, it's named after one of the two wild South American camelids that live in the high alpine areas of the Andes (the other being the guanaco, if you're curious). It's a relative of the llama, which is probably the most fun fact you'll learn about a task management app today.

But beyond the fun name, Vikunja is actually a solid task management solution. Since it's open-source and self-hostable, you have complete control over your data. You can run it on your own server, sync across all your devices, and never worry about vendor lock-in or subscription fees.

It's got all the features you'd expect—tasks, projects, lists, due dates, reminders, collaboration—but without the cloud dependency or privacy concerns. Perfect if you want something like Todoist or Asana but want to own your data completely. Plus, being open-source means the community can contribute features and improvements, so it keeps getting better. It's basically task management for people who care about privacy and self-hosting.
